The research and teachers behind the method
Research
The Autoimmune Recovery Method does not ask you to take our word for it. The claims in our teaching trace back to peer-reviewed research and to the educators who built this field. Here is where it comes from, so you can read further and verify for yourself.
Prevalence figures from the Mayo Clinic 2025 study; the count of more than 80 autoimmune diseases from the NIEHS; years-to-diagnosis from the Autoimmune Association. Functional-lens estimates include undiagnosed cases. The 1 in 8 lifetime thyroid figure is from the American Thyroid Association, the 17.5 percent from a 2022 Frontiers meta-analysis, and the ANA rise from Dinse et al., 2022.

Where our teaching comes from.
A note on the evidence. The studies above report improvements in symptoms and quality of life, not a cure. We frame remission as a possibility some people reach, never a promise, and we ask you to do this work alongside your own doctor or practitioner.
The research behind the 6 Keys
Autoimmune recovery is not built on diet alone. Here is peer-reviewed research behind each of the 6 Keys of Action Toward Remission, tying it to inflammation, immune function, or the risk of Autoimmune disease. None of it promises Remission. It is why we tend the whole terrain.
These are associations from published research, several from small or observational studies, and none is a promise of any outcome. They point to why the whole terrain matters, and we ask you to do this work alongside your own doctor or practitioner.
Where Qigong fits, and what the research shows
We teach Great Energy Qigong inside the course as a gentle nervous-system and stress practice, not as a treatment for Autoimmunity, and we hold the evidence honestly, because it is early and modest. A 2020 systematic review of 19 randomized trials found tai chi and qigong practice was linked to increased immune-cell activity, though effects on inflammatory markers like CRP were not statistically significant. A smaller controlled trial of qigong found reduced cortisol and improved stress scores after ten weeks, in a sample of only 34 people. We offer Qigong for calm and steadiness, and because chronic stress is one of the conditions that keeps an immune system firing.
